Who do we serve?
Vulnerable youths (ages 12 – 17) in the English-speaking Caribbean. Students are recommended by a teacher and/or principal and complete an application.
What makes CMETT different?
We combine global travel, “homegrown” local experiences, and ongoing mentorship, so inspiration turns into action at home and abroad.
How long are trips and who chaperones?What training will I get as a volunteer?
International journeys usually last 7–10 days. Students travel with two teachers from their school and a CMETT staff member. Local travel will range from one-day trips to 4-nights for overnight camps. Students will be accompanied by two teachers . Safety and learning come first.
What's included?
Help with passports/visas, airfare and accommodations, in-country transportation, excursion fees, meals, plus local “homegrown” trips.
What's not included?
Personal gear, spending money, and extra snacks/meals.
When is the application window?
The process typically begins in the summer, with applications due by September.
Where do students travel?
Destinations vary year to year. We keep locations general here and focus on readiness, learning, and safety.
